CoClass Private Limited ("CoClass," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and website (coclass.sg).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

1. Information We Collect

To provide our class management, scheduling, and payment tracking services, we collect the following types of information:

A. Personal Information You Provide to Us:

• Parent/Guardian Account Data: First and last name, email address, phone number, and account password.
• Child Information: Name, age/date of birth, class enrollment details, schedules, and center affiliations. (Note: This data is provided by the parent/guardian; the App is not intended for direct use by children).
• Communication Data: In-app chat messages, announcements, and inquiries between you and the coaching centers.

B. Information Collected Automatically (Device & Usage Data):

• Log and Usage Data: IP address, device type, operating system (iOS/Android), app version, crash reports, and diagnostic data (required by Google Play/App Store for app functionality and bug fixing).
• Device Permissions: With your explicit consent, the App may request access to:
  • Calendar: To sync class schedules.
  • Push Notifications: To send reminders for classes, payments, and center updates.
  • Camera/Photo Library: To upload profile pictures or share images in chats (if applicable).

You can enable or disable these permissions at any time through your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Core App Functionality: To create and manage your account, track schedules, sync calendars, and manage class enrollments.
• Payment Processing: To track payments, send dues reminders, and facilitate transactions.
• Communication: To enable in-app messaging between parents and centers, and to send push notifications regarding schedule changes.
• App Improvement: To analyze usage trends, troubleshoot crashes, and improve the user experience.
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.

3. Payment Processing & Financial Data

CoClass integrates with HitPay for secure payment processing.

• We do not collect, store, or process full credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.
• All payment transactions are handled directly by HitPay, which adheres to strict PCI-DSS compliance standards. We only store payment status, amounts, and transaction IDs to display your payment history within the App.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information in the following circumstances:

• With Coaching Centers: Relevant parent and child details (e.g., name, class schedule, payment status) are shared with the specific enrichment/coaching centers you interact with via the App to facilitate class management.
• With Service Providers: Third-party vendors who perform services for us (e.g., AWS/Google Cloud for hosting, HitPay for payments, Firebase for crash analytics). These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
• For Legal Reasons: If required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of CoClass, our users, or others.

5. Children's Privacy

The CoClass App is designed for use by parents and guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 (or higher age thresholds as defined by local laws). All child data stored on the platform is inputted voluntarily by the parent/guardian for scheduling and class management purposes. If we become aware that we have collected data directly from a child without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App’s services. Payment records and communication logs may be retained for a longer period if required for accounting, tax, or legal compliance purposes.

7. Account and Data Deletion (App Store / Play Store Requirement)

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

• In-App Deletion: You can delete your account directly within the CoClass App by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
• Web/Email Request: Alternatively, you can request account and data deletion by emailing us at hello@coclass.sg with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We will process your request within 14 days.

Please note: Deleting your account will permanently remove your schedules, chat history, and linked child profiles. Some data may be retained temporarily in secure backups or as required by law.

8. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on your location (including under the Singapore PDPA), you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent for data collection/processing (which may result in the inability to use certain App features).

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures (including data encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or app guidelines. We will notify you of any material changes via an in-app notification, email, or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
